David Owen Norman Wright was convicted of the manslaughter of David John Fulton 16.
He was also convicted of the manslaughter of Patrick Kelly 40.
David Wright and David Fulton shared a cabin on a ship in Newport, Monmouthsire and had been engaged in homosexual activiy. Whem David Fulton started wheezing 20 May 1962 David Wright dragged him from the cabin and threw him over the side of their ship, the MV Cornwall, which was in Gladstone dry dock on 20 May 1962.
David Wright also admitted later suffocating 40-year-old Patrick Kelly during homosexual practices. He killed him on board the Motor Vessel Cornwall on 28 May 1962.
Following the dearths of the two crew, the MV Cornwall was described as the ship of death.
